Crawling

Mary Ellen is crawling. She has been thinking about it for a few days. When she started really moving forward today, she would crawl and then stop and clap. I got a little of it in this video.

Snow Day

Today was a snow day. It is very rare that the school I work at is closed, so it was nice to be home. When we took Mary Ellen outside, she was not too fond of the snow. She actually started crying. But, we got this one picture of her all bundled up with the snow in the background.

I guess eating became more than she could handle. She actually fell asleep mid bite with the food in her hand.

So many new toys...

... But look what I like to play with.

A few weeks ago, I was cleaning out Mary Ellen's closet, and she couldn't stand being away from me, so she started playing with the hangers.

Today, I needed to check something on the computer, so I put her down on the floor next to me with her bunny. The next thing I knew, she had reached for the trash can and pulled it over. She has probably played with it longer than any of her toys this morning.

Catching Flies, but still pretty in pink!

Whenever you go to take Mary Ellen's picture, she puts her mouth wide open. Actually, she is like that all the time these days. We keep asking her if she is trying to catch flies.

8 months old

It is so hard to believe that Mary Ellen is already 8 months old. She is exploring everything and babbling away. She isn't quite crawling, but she is figuring out how to get place, especially when she wants her Mommy.
