MOPS Easter Egg Hunt

Today at MOPS, we had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Of course, Mary Ellen loved being able to have her basket and put eggs in it. She also was excited to find that things were inside of them. She did decide that she wanted to play on the playground a little more, rather than looking for more eggs, and she didn't want anything to do with the baby goats. The only time that she got close was when she tried to have me pet the goat.



















And again, she had to hold her basket as we drove home, but this time, she fell asleep, but was still holding on!

Easter Egg hunt

We went to an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday. Mary Ellen was a little timid at first about picking up the eggs. She would walk past them, and we would have to point them out. She also had to make sure that she knew where Caroline was as they were both hunting for eggs. After a while, though, she got into it, and would ask if she could get more. She was having a lot of fun, and especially enjoyed finding things inside the eggs.



















She also enjoyed playing at the park. She got to ride the swings with Caki and try out a new play thing with Daddy. We all had a great time!






And finally, in the car, she had to hold her basket and examine everything inside!

The past week has consisted of many different things. The sun has been shining, so we have tried to get outside more. With Easter approaching, I brought out the Easter eggs and started having our own hunts around the house. After that, Mary Ellen likes to carry the basket around with the eggs in it. We have had playdates and just enjoyed having fun and being silly!

Mary Ellen decided that she needed to get in the box again. Like any kid, there can be a ton of toys around, but she loves the boxes!

For me, this pictures shows how grown up Mary Ellen is getting. She won't stand still for pictures, but then she likes to make silly faces. She laughs and enjoys being very cheesy for the camera!

Catching up

Here are some pictures from the last few days.

"Playing" a race car game. It is nice that she doesn't know that you have to put money in it to really play it. She thinks that it is great to turn the wheel and watch the cars on the screen.




Mary Ellen wanted to wear a hat, so of course her daddy found a UK hat to wear in support of the tournament. She actually wore it for quite a while.


I have already told you that Mary Ellen loves being a helper. We were working in the backyard cutting and putting sticks in bags this weekend. She helped putting the sticks in, and then insisted on helping bring the garbage bags around front. She loves to help, even if it seems too big for her!

Little Helper

Mary Ellen loves to help. When she sees you doing anything, she comes up to you and says, "Helper." This morning, I was making a cake, and she wanted to be my helper. She was a really good helper mixing the cake and putting the strawberries in.

She then enjoyed being a helper with "clean-up!"

Trip to the Zoo

On Saturday, we went to the zoo. It was a cold and windy day, but it was $1.00 day, so we were taking advantage of it. Mary Ellen didn't seem to be bothered by the weather and walked the whole zoo, which we were there for almost 2 hours. When we left, we asked her what she saw, and she would say, "monkeys, zebras, elephant!"
