Destination Known

This was a very busy weekend for us. Mary Ellen got to meet a lot of new friends from our church in Brent, AL. We had a cookout at our house Saturday night, and she was surrounded by many people. She seemed to love it and had a great time with everyone. She even had her first play time with another baby, Anthony, and if you look closely at the pictures, it looks like they are holding hands. We have been joking that she now has a boyfriend. Her daddy isn't sure what he thinks about that! The group that came from Brent is a group of girls who sing and are known as Destination Known. They inducted Mary Ellen into the group after they sang Sunday night. She is very honored to be a part of it!

Nothing big this week

Sorry about not posting pictures in a while. We haven't had much going on this week, and whenever Mary Ellen makes a cute new expression, I don't have the camera close by. But, I did manage to take a few pictures yesterday, and I also realized that I had a few from earlier in the week. We have friends coming into town this weekend, so I know that I will be better about taking more pics, so I will try to get them posted sooner and have more for everyone. Sorry that all of Mary Ellen's fans had to wait to see how she is growing!

Let's Read and other fun times

I heard a story on the Today Show a while back about a 1 year old who was reading. As you can see, I am trying to start early with Mary Ellen, but she doesn't appear to be quite interested in it yet!

She couldn't decide what she thought about this dog, which is also a book!

She has started to focus on the mobile on her swing. I thought this picture captured her being a little enthralled with it.

And finally, Mary Ellen likes to take a nap after waking up in the morning. This is her waking up again after sleeping a little longer in the car seat. She was smiling a little, and I was trying to capture that, but just got her saying "Good Morning."

Father's Day

Happy belated Father's Day from Mary Ellen! We are a little delayed in getting this posted, but she wanted to extend her wishes to all. Her daddy said that he had the best Father's day ever. Hope that everyone else enjoyed their special day!

Last few days

Over the last few days, Mary Ellen had a visit with Nene and Aunt Sarah. She also discovered some new things on her play place, and finally got a pretty good picture with Mommy, since Mommy is always the one taking the pictures!

Also, just to update everyone, Mary Ellen had her one month check-up today. She is now 9lbs and 13ozs. As I like to tell her, "she is SOOO big!"

One Month

It is so hard to believe, but Mary Ellen was one month on Sunday. These are pictures from Sunday. I am delayed in getting them posted, because of computer problems. Unfortunately in the family picture she is asleep, but at least I got some of just her awake.

This weekend

This weekend, Mary Ellen didn't have company.

It was more of a laid back weekend at home, with a few outings.

She slept through Daddy's team playing t-ball!

She enjoys her time being naked!

She has found the turtle and loves staring at it!

She loves going outside, but she is usually conked out when we come back in!
