Playing with Daddy

Mary Ellen has gotten really playful. In the video clip, it is hard to tell if she was completely happy or thinking about getting mad. The funniest part is at the very end though. Paul taught her to growl at her bunny, but she usually just goes to eat it.

These are some pics from the end of June that some friends sent us. I just thought that they were too cute not to share. You can also see how much she has grown. It is still so hard to believe how much she has changed and continues to change every day.

3 Months

We had a three month photo shoot in the front yard yesterday! It is hard to believe that Mary Ellen is already three months old.

This weekend

This weekend, we went to the park and tried out the high chair. We thought that the park had baby swings, but it didn't, so we tried the slide and swinging in Mommy's lap. I think that Mary Ellen would have liked to go down the slide more, but it had a lot of static and wasn't very comfortable for Mommy and Daddy!

Lovey

We have found that Mary Ellen likes to hold something, when she sleeps for a nap or just to play with. It started with burp cloths, which we still use as you can see in the picture in the swing, but she also likes the lamb lovey! No matter what it is, it always ends up in her mouth.

My friend Sarah

Today we had lunch with some friends. Their daughter, Sarah, loves Mary Ellen, and always wants to play with her. Here are a few pictures of them, with Sarah lovingly patting Mary Ellen. I think that for the first time, Mary Ellen smiled at her while she was playing with her. You can also see that Mary Ellen likes eating her bib!

Back to work

With tear-filled eyes, I returned to work this week. I took Mary Ellen with me on Monday, but then she started day care on Tuesday. I think that she had an easier time adjusting than mom did. It took me three days before I was able to take a picture of her prior to going. In order to help myself adjust, you can see the bulletin board in her honor in my office and the pictures on my filing cabinet. She is every where I look, which helps a bit!
